St. George's Day



London celebrates St George's Day 2008 on April 23 with an array of free events including film screenings, parades, children’s activities and more.

The day gives you the chance to fly the flag with pride and celebrate English heritage in London with special events such as the popular annual Shakespeare’s Birthday Celebrations at the Globe Theatre. Plus outdoor screenings of historic silent Shakespeare films, a festival for St George at Covent Garden and a parade at the Cenotaph.
