Pop star Jamelia performed at last year's Rise Festival



Rise: London United is an annual free festival featuring a wide range of live music and performance. The event attracts up to 100,000 people for a celebration of London's diversity and its success as a multicultural city, and to show that racism has no place in the capital.

Returning for 2008, the Rise Festival will feature a huge variety of live music, plus a comedy tent, a children's play area, exhibitions and craft stalls.
