Operatic Metal rockers from Finland, Nightwish, is renowned for their powerful keyboard tones and soaring symphony arrangements reminiscent of classic film scores. The band was formed in 1996 and has combined symphonic arrangements with a distinct combination of seductive, emotional and operatic vocals and gallant guitar melodies in their six albums to ensure a patriotic fan base across the globe.
The band is touring the UK in March/April and will play at the Astoria in support of their new album, Dark Passion Play, released in September 2007.
