The National Maritime Museum in Greenwich is a popular tourist attraction in London and comprises three sites: the Maritime Galleries, the Royal Observatory and the Queen's House.
Together these three sites constitute one museum working to illustrate for visitors the importance of the sea, ships, time and the stars and their relationship with people. One of the biggest highlights of this museum is the chance to stand on the Prime Meridian Line - a metal strip in the courtyard where you stand over and can be in the the eastern and western hemispheres at the same time!
