The London Eye is one of the more recent landmarks - first opened in 2000 - to have opened in the capital but has quickly become the UK’s most popular paid for visitor attraction, visited by over 3.5 million people a year.
Rising high above the city's skyline at 135 metres, the London Eye is a breathtaking feat of modern day engineering with its unique and versatile structure. With a maximum capacity of 800 passengers per revolution in its 32 high-tech capsules (1 for each of boroughs of London), each rotation takes roughly 30 minutes.
