Norwegian singer IDA Maria hails from the small town of Nesna with a population of just 1776.
Currently residing in Stockholm, the 23 year-old has her own band - Ida Maria (guitar, vocals), Johannes Lindberg (bass, backing vocals), Olle Lundin (drums, backing vocals), Stefan Törnby (lead guitar, backing vocals) - which creates music influenced by the likes of Elvis Presley, The Velvet Underground, Håkan Hellström and The Smiths.
Maria also runs her own music label, Nesna Records, from home.
