London celebrates Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year London



London will commence Chinese New Year 2008 celebrations with a festival and parade in central London on Sunday February 10.

This annual event is organised by the London Chinatown Chinese Association and the Year of the Rat will be celebrated with a parade in the Strand and along Charing Cross Road and Shaftesbury Avenue.

Trafalgar Square will play host to dragon and lion dances, and the best of traditional and contemporary Chinese arts and entertainments while a fireworks display takes place in Leicester Square.
