Africa Day in London

March 3rd 2008 09:15
Africa Day London

London's 'Africa Day' is a free festival of African arts, heritage, culture, music, crafts, tourism, dance, and cuisine. Originally founded in 1958 as African Freedom Day and then changed to African Liberation Day by the Organisation of African Unity in 1963, Africa Day falls on 25 May each year and is observed by many countries and international organisations.

Africa Day 2008 takes place once again at our famous Trafalgar Square - last year's event was hit by poor weather so finger's crossed the weather will be kinder to us this year.
